Second Week of March 2012

This week we focused on letter Tt.  We did many activities to reinforce the letter.  Below is our older children's letter book and I forgot to take pictures of our tot book (sorry).

Letter Tt Book
This is the cover.  We colored the letter Tt's and colored the tent.
On the left we made our three-piece letter puzzles of upper and lowercase Tt.  We also colored tents with the letter Tt.  On the right we found the one that was different and did a pre-writing activity from Getting Ready for the Code Series.

On the left we circled letters that were the same as the first one in the box and we drew lines from the tents to the Tt's.  We got these from Getting Ready for the Code Series.  We circled Tt's from
Confessions of a Homeschooler Letter Hunt.

On the left we listened to clues to find the Tt picture and colored them according to directions. This is from the Getting Ready for the Code Series.   We also traced uppercase T's.  On the right we drew lines from the Tt-tag to pictures that begin with the /t/ sound.  This is from the Getting Ready for the Code Series.  We also traced lowercase t's.

On the left we drew lines from the letter to the picture that begins with that letter sound.  This is from the Getting Ready for the Code Series.  We also traced/printed letter T's.  On the right we wrote the letter each picture began with.  This is from Getting Ready for the Code Series.  We also traced/printed letter t's.

On the left we colored pictures that began with the /t/ sound red and the pictures that don't blue.  This is from First Phonics.  We also traced/printed letter T's.  On the right we pasted pictures that began with S or T in the appropriate place and printed the letter.  This is from First Phonics.  We also traced/printed letter t's.

We talked about the pet hamster and waterpainted a hamster.

We talked about farm animals.

We made farmer puppets.

We talked about the chicken family.
We fingerpainted eggs the girl needed to find.

We waterpainted hens.

We talked about ducks.
We made paper bag ducks.

We also did a few math skills

The younger children matched numbers from Childcareland.

The older children looked at graphs to determine which one is more.

 Hope you enjoyed our week.
Rose
